Painting the Winter Landscape in Pastel

Bring the quiet beauty of winter to life using soft pastels. In this beginner-friendly workshop, Montreal artist Susanne Strater, member of the Lakeshore Artists Association, will guide you step by step in transforming a winter landscape photograph into a vibrant pastel painting.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of pastel techniques, how to plan a strong composition from a reference photo, and tips for choosing harmonious colours and adding finishing touches. Participants are welcome to bring their own favourite winter landscape photos or work from images provided.
All art supplies are included, and light snacks and refreshments will be served. This workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone curious about exploring pastel in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Vous pouvez apporter vos propres photos de paysages d’hiver ou utiliser celles fournies sur place.
